Sulli Choi (born December 21, 1996) is a South Korean singer, member of the Korean pop upcoming girl group Blackbox and ELLE model.
Early life[]
Child of Korean-American parents, Sulli was born in Busan, South Korea. She and her family leaves Korea for the United States, one year after her birth. They settled to Los Angeles, California until she ended her 9th grade year, when Sulli and her family comes back to Korea for holidays. Few months after, Sulli was spotted by Korean talent agency RISE Entertainment, and they offered her to audition for the company. She made it through Monthly Auditions and became then a trainee for 2-3 years. She went through singing lessons, dance classes and modelling. In January 2015, she has been spotted by ELLE for her beautiful looks, so she, with the full agreement of her company, signed a contract with them, while stilltraining for her debuts in her respective agency. Sulli has been publically revealed by RISE Entertainment as RISE NEW GIRL GROUP 2016 member in January 2016, which is now called Blackbox, and is rumored to debut during Summer 2016.

In January 2016, RISE Entertainment revealed that they will debut a new girl group this year Blackbox (formerly named as Rise New Girl Group 2016) and is going to be composed of 5 members, Sulli, well known for her multiple ELLE photoshoots, is the first member to be revealed.The group is going to debut this Summer.
