Alyana de Philanos (born April 7, 1990 in Begur, Spain) is a Canadian equestrian and former model with Spanish and Dutch heritage. She is best known in the equestrian society for her show jumping career.
Biography[]
De Philanos was born in Begur, Spain. In 1994 she moved to Valkenheide, Netherlands, a small village near Utrecht, where she grew up with her halfbrother.
In 2007 she took over her parents' stud, Darwin Equstrian Center, with her grandparents. Five years later de Philanos changed the name to Valkenheide and moved to Richard's Landing, Ontario (Canada) although she moved just three years later again.
She is currently living in Waterton, Alberta (Canada) with her daughter and her fiancé Diego Sancez.
Early Life[]
Alyana de Pilanos was born as the first child of two of Alejandro and Maria-Dolores de Philanos (née Gador) in Begur, Spain. Her father was Spanish, her mother was Spanish with Dutch heritage.
Her parents owned an Hanoverian stud called Darwin Equstrian Center and were greatly known for their show jumping talented horses. When she was two years old, her halfbrother Roano Aalsker was born as a child of de Philanos' mother and love affair Franco Aalsker from finland. The family lived in Begur until 1994.
In 1994 Alyana de Philanos moved with her family and their stud to Valkenheide, near Utrecht (Netherlands), where the children grew up and finished VW (pre-university secondary education, the highest variant in the secondary educational system of the Netherlands). Due to her young age while leaving Spain de Philanos' self-proclaimed mother language is Dutch, since she never continued to learn Spanish.
De Philanos' Parents were shot and killed during their vacation in the US in 2007 and left their children to Maria-Dolores' parents, Marijke and Ruben Adrianus Van Willems, who helped de Philanos to take over the stud.
In 2008 she went to Utrecht University and began to study psychology, but soonly aborted it. Instead she focused on her equestrian career and moved to Richard's Landing, Alberta (Canada) in 2009, where she reopened the family stud and renamed it Valkenheide.
De Philanos gave birth to her daughter Marleen Reyna de Philanos on July 12, 2015, after a failed engagement (that ended in 2014) with the father of her child. In the same year she began a relationship with Diego Sancez, who adopted her child. The couple announced their engagement in 2016.
In 2016 she moved to Waterton, Alberta (Canada) with her family and her stud.

De Philanos modeled for several lables in 2016. This is her statement to a reporter, who asked her, if it was a new job of hers:
"I enjoyed the photo shootings and working with some lables. The people were really nice to me, but I don't think I will continue modeling due to my equestrian career and being a parent. There's just no time left."
In 2016 she accepted a job at Press Play Records as a part-time Art and Video Director.
Personal Life[]
De Philanos was engaged to a Russian from 2013 to 2014. The couple had a daughter in 2015. After the death of her daughter's father in July 2016 de Philanos and her child flew to Russia, where they faced problemes with Marleen Reyna's adoption documents.
She is currently engaged to Diego Sancez and planning a wedding for September 2016.
